About 194,000 Triangles in the low-resolution mesh

Most of the vehicle was created by hand, appending and extruding polygons across a curve network that I traced from blueprints. I began the model using Polygon Proxies to smooth the low resolution mesh. Eventually I switched to using Polygon Preview mode during modeling, and Mental Ray Subdivision Approximations to smooth during render. I also used Illustrator to create the displacement maps for the tires.
